Regulations & Guidelines

UTSA follows all Federal, State, and UT-System regulations and requirements in identifying and handling potential and actual conflicts of interest.

In most instances, conflicts of interest in research and intellectual property can be avoided simply by continuing to exercise good judgment and, indeed, UTSA relies on the sound judgment of its employees to prevent many such conflict situations.

*Note: The UTSA Handbook of Operating Procedures is currently being updated. A section on Conflict of Interest in Research & Intellectual Property will be added following all State and Federal laws as well as UT-System guidelines.
